Nordic Hides And Skins (NH&S) are committed to ensuring your privacy is protected.  When using this website you may be required to provide information by which you can be identified- such as Name, Address and IP address which helps us communicate with your browser.  This information will be held on a secure server by our host Open Cart who provide an ecommerce platform to enable us to sell our products .

This notice sets out how we use and protect personal information for marketing purposes, including data which we gather from the use of our website.

We are the Data Controller for personal information, relating to people who have:

  • Accessed our website
  • Agreed to receive marketing information from us

We do not share personal information. We will only disclose personal information for marketing purposes if:

  • Required or authorised by law

We do not intend to transfer any personal information used or stored for marketing purposes outside of the European Union.

We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfil the requirements to which you have agreed.


The third-party providers we use including Barclaycard and Paypal have their own privacy policies of which we recommend you review to understand how the information we provide to said parties is used.

3. Personal Information We Process

We follow all PCI-DSS requirements when Credit card information is used to make a purchase.  This information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology.  Once the payment is completed Open Card removes all transaction details.

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over third party websites. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information, which you provide whilst visiting such sites of which are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the websites that have been visited.

7. Returns And Exchange

We will accept product returns for a full refund or exchange (with exception to Reindeer hides- please see point 8) provided that the customer has notified the company within 10 days of the arrival of their order. All deliveries are tracked. The item returned must be in full resalable condition to obtain a refund. Returns after the 10 day period of delivery will be denied for both a refund or exchange.

8. Returning Reindeer Hides

We offer a 6 month policy for the returning of Reindeer hides. Due to the nature of the item there is a very small possibility they may begin to shed within the first 2-3 months of use. If shedding does occur please contact us to arrange an exchange for another hide similar to the original- . It is important to note shedding is not a fault with the hide and so does not qualify for a refund at any point. Shedding may occur because the hide has dried out after purchase. If we are not informed of the shedding hide within 6 months we are not obliged to refund or exchange the hide. The care instructions on the reverse of the hide must be adhered to in order to prevent the hide from shedding.
